We use Azure Functions and have been for three years the tooling was - poor. However in the last few months it has radically improved, as has the documentation. It reminds me of SQL in the 80s which was 'difficult' and 'serious' you needed a specialist for it, contrast that with spinning up a database in the cloud today.

In short I think Serverless has just become commoditised.
